Kitchen Design

Whether you've collected a drawer full of kitchen pictures, or you have a certain style in mind that you'd like us to match, our kitchen design experts can help you plan the kitchen of your dreams. Even the most problematic areas can be dramatically altered with the right planning and material selection. Our kitchen design specialists are sure to help you make your kitchen beautiful, efficient, and ultra-functional. Our designers are trained in the unique 20/20 design software and they can provide you with your own 3 D virtual presentation of your new kitchen plan.

Measuring Your Kitchen

While we can provide measuring instructions so you can give us an idea of what your project might look like, we would prefer you allow us to come to your home and complete the measurements. While there, we can discuss your ideas and get a feel for your home and your individual tastes. Having measured over several hundred kitchens and baths, we can quickly and efficiently complete this initial meeting generally within an hour and best of all there is no cost associated with this appointment.

If you choose to measure yourself, once we receive your dimensions, we can get a head start on your design. Don't worry about measuring every detail, JN Kitchens will verified all measurements prior to any final plan.

Whether we complete the measurements or you do, the following steps apply? You'll need graph paper, pencil and a 25' tape measure and you're ready to go!

Step 1
Start at one point in the room and measure the wall length from one corner to the nearest door or window casing (the outside of the trim). Then measure the overall width of the window or door opening (including the door and window casings). Continue the procedure proceeding around the entire room until you return to the starting point.

Step 2
Measure the height of the ceiling. Note any interruptions (beams, ducts, etc.)
Measure the appliances and the make note of locations for heat and outlets.

Step 3.
Include any pictures, layouts or ideas that may aid our designer in completing your plan.
